Established for charitable purposes

The Y & B
Charitable Trust

Advancing Jewish education, relieving poverty, and supporting the study and teaching of Torah, in service of learning, faith, and community.

Our purpose

A trust founded on learning
and loving-kindness

The Y & B Charitable Trust exists to advance education in the Jewish faith, to relieve those living in poverty, and to promote religious study and research, with a particular dedication to Torah education.

Our work is directed by these charitable aims and carried out for the benefit of the community, supporting the institutions, teachers, and individuals through whom Jewish learning and faith are sustained.

What we support

Three foundations of our work

I

תּוֹרָה

Education & Torah study

Advancing education in the Jewish faith and supporting the teaching and study of Torah, so that learning is passed from one generation to the next.

II

חֶסֶד

Relief of poverty

Providing for the relief of those in need, offering practical support to individuals and families facing hardship within the community.

III

מֶחְקָר

Religious research

Promoting research in the Jewish faith, and in particular religious Torah education, to deepen and preserve religious scholarship.

“The world stands upon three things: upon Torah, upon service, and upon acts of loving-kindness.” Pirkei Avot 1:2
